Our expert photography and videography team
Our New Zealand family-owned wedding photography and videography business is made up of photographer Thomas and his brother-in-law Andres, a videographer.
“I feel privileged to be able to photograph a couple's wedding, capturing intimate moments of their special day which they will cherish for years to come.”
Thomas’ passion for photography began at the age of 15. His father and photography mentor, Alan Brydon, taught Thomas to use a film camera and develop prints in a dark room, before he moved into digital photography.
Thomas gained his professional photography diploma in 2004. Starting out in landscape photography, he travelled the world shooting stunning locations, before deciding to take his passion for people into wedding photography.
After assisting an award-winning NZIPP photographer for two years, Thomas turned his unique eye to his own wedding photography business. His passion for nature shines through in beautiful shots which often incorporate the landscape of a client’s wedding venue.
Thomas works closely with each couple to customise a package to suit their needs, and to ensure they feel comfortable on their wedding day, so their day is as relaxed and memorable as possible.
Andres Lara Suaza
“I believe I have a unique way of seeing the light, which helps me to turn simple camera shots into marvellous sequences.”
Originally from Colombia, Andres joined his sister and brother-in-law in New Zealand ten years ago.
His passion for photography and videography has found the perfect outlet in the wedding world, and he is proud to create such unique expressions of a couple’s love.
Previously he has worked on short films, music videos and documentaries as both a camera operator and director of photography. He loves editing his footage into memorable movies, and describes the editing software he uses as the circuits that connect his ideas.
With a degree in visual arts and a diploma in visual effects, Andres is an artist above all else, with the camera and editing software his tools.
